Everyday English and Slang in Ireland

Tips on finding the meaning of Irish slang and phrases

<rant> Call me unhelpful but I get over 100 mails a week and I have a few jobs just to keep my head above water; so I get a little tired of receiving mails asking for the meaning of words and phrases - well, if truth be told I don't mind the mails; I usually end up learning something BUT what I do take offence at is that most people do not take the time to write back and say "Thank You for your help". I REALLY DO NOT HAVE ANY IDEA OF IRISH / GAELIC TRANSLATIONS. CHECK THE POP UP WINDOW FOR HELP ON THIS FRONT. </rant>
Apologies to the few who do take a sec to say Thanks!
Courteous people can, of course, drop me an e-mail anytime.
